From the Pastor's Desk

Dear parishioners,

In these trying times we are about to enter the unusual weekend when we will not be able to attend the weekend Mass and other services. The churches are closed, the pews will be empty. I know it is very difficult for you. I can't imagine what your feeling is. It is equally difficult for me to celebrate Mass all by myself without you in the church. However, since I can more or less remember the pew that each of you occupy when you attend Mass we can still be spiritually united in prayer when I celebrate Mass.

We are called to worship God in different ways: "in Spirit and Truth", (Jn. 4:23) by watching live Mass in the Television and receiving the grace doing a Spiritual Communion., praying Rosary, divine Mercy Chaplet and practicing other devotions.

I encourage each and every one of you to join in the live broadcast of the Sunday Mass at @ 9:30 am on KDF-TV channel 47. As you watch the Mass on TV please take part in the Spiritual Communion.

My dear family I encourage you to be with one another at home, the domestic church. I celebrate Mass in private for you and in spiritual union with you. May God continue to protect each and every one of you from COVID-19 especially the elderly and the sick. To the parish family of Our Lady of Consolation, Our Lady of Guadalupe and Sacred Heart and to all the brothers and sisters throughout our diocese and the whole world, Peace be with you!

Remember to pray for our Bishop, all the priests, me your brother, deacons and for one another so that we may focus on the Lord believing that all things are possible with him, through him and in him. If you have any spiritual need don"t hesitate to call. (361) 297-5255.

I pray for you all and for the whole world in the private Mass I celebrate, during the holy hour and while praying the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet.

The Lord may keep you and bless you under his protection and under his love.

Blessings to you all.
